At paySmart, we seek to do more and better every day. This characteristic is not only related to our technology and our daily work, but also to our actions with the community. This Easter, we come together to promote, once again, a current of solidarity. Even in the face of a challenging economic scenario, where several families have experienced a loss or drop in monthly income, taking action to help those in need at this time is the least to do.
With that in mind, we chose the Childhood Cancer Institute (ICI) as the focus of our action. A reference in taking care of children and adolescents with cancer, the institute provides all the necessary assistance for the continuity of treatment. Through ICI, patients have pedagogical, psychological, nutritional, dental support, medications and special exams. Their families also receive assistance support with aid for clothing, shoes and food. In addition, ICI develops scientific research projects dedicated to advancing new treatments for childhood cancer. The institute is known for promoting the Race for Life, one of the main sources of fundraising and community mobilization, which started in 1993 and, since then, gathers thousands of participants every year in its editions in Porto Alegre and other cities. from the interior of Rio Grande do Sul.
Donations were made by employees and the final amount doubled by paySmart. We are very happy with the results obtained and for helping to make this Easter special for several children. Congratulations to our team, for the action, the movement and the result! We hope to continue promoting similar practices, bringing good to those in need and making the world even better.
